About Us
The Story Behind Nexus Uplift
We started because a child died from a treatable asthma attack — while the family prayed for a spiritual cure. That story is not unique. We exist so it becomes rarer.
Our Mission
To equip every child with accurate, science-based health knowledge so they can make informed decisions and reject dangerous medical myths.
Our Vision
A generation of health-literate children who grow into adults that seek evidence-based care, for themselves and their communities.
Values
What We Stand For
Compassion
Every child deserves accurate information about their own body.
Precision
We never share unverified medical content. Accuracy is non-negotiable.
Transparency
We are open about our methods, funding, and outcomes.
Inclusion
We reach rural and urban communities equally, in local languages.
Team
Meet the People Behind the Work
Dr. Aminata Sesay
Founder & Medical Director
She has watched children die from conditions that an inhaler or a clinic visit would have fixed. That is why Nexus Uplift exists. She handles the medicine — and the mission.
Ibrahim Koroma
Education Lead
Ibrahim spent years turning textbooks into something children actually want to sit through. He does the same here — except the subject matter is their own health.
Fatmata Bangura
Community Outreach
She grew up in the communities we serve. When she tells a family that asthma is not a curse, they believe her — because she is one of them.
Sorie Kamara
Operations & Partnerships
Someone has to make sure the logistics work, the funders are informed, and the team can actually show up. That is Sorie. Without him, none of this moves.
